A short speculative essay for the master’s publication The Piet (Piet Zwart Institute, Willem de Kooning Academy), accompanied by a custom-made perfume to support the narrative. The essay was Riso printed, with the scent physically applied to the paper. This sensory intervention was designed to force art master’s students to viscerally confront the invisible labour occurring all around them, questioning the systems in which they themselves perform unseen work, and who ultimately profits from it.
